SAFE, LOVED, AND LEARNING? Character Education...Or Education By Characters?

“SNAPPED” IN THE SCHOOLYARD? “A staff member was being accused by a parent of allegedly dragging a student into the school from the playground,” GTA Superintendent Susan Dameron wrote. “The academy is in the process of a thorough investigation into these allegations.”

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's department is investigating an allegation by the parent of a GTA student that a “staff member” dragged the student, who reportedly refused to leave the playground, back into the Traverse City charter school.

“Hell no, I won’t go?”

  1. Do a thorough investigation of the incident, but just as, if not more importantly, do a thorough investigation of all the financial irregularities of Ingersoll's Smart Schools Management Co.,and Noss's Full Spectrum Management Co. And when all the embezzlement is in full view, prosecute the crooks and remove the current management company and present GTA board of Education (really, a board of crooks, past and present).

  2. Seriously?! One of my dearest friends had her children attend that school and hearing about her and her high school student's experience at that school made my stomach hurt for them! GTA is extremely lucky they don't have a discrimination law suit against them for the way Susan Dameron and cronies treated her child! The communication between staff and students basically was non- existent. After hearing her story- I have shared with any/all of my friends who have children. I've encouraged her to speak out to local news...

    1. I hope that family took their h.s. student out of that school. They also should go to the newspaper.

    2. "Safe, loved learning" appears to be another real joke, just like the IVL curriculum propaganda.

  3. Instead of a student, they should have dragged in Ingersoll when he was there as management, and now, Noss. Taken them both to some remote room.

    1. And give them a 'financial' spanking by severing ties with the GTA cash cow they've been milking for years.

  4. There have been several shady incidents that have taken place in GTA high school. Basically, if a student makes a mistake or has a tendency to be a class clown- that student is pegged as a "problem child".. I've heard they have searched students, recorded students, and have not contacted the parents after or before the fact of doing so. This is very troubling as both acts are illegal. Parents- if you have teenagers especially teenage boys- DO NOT SEND THEM TO GTA your teenagers are simply not allowed to be teenagers!
